Gout Tracker — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Gout Tracker helps you log gout flares, food and drink, uric acid results and possible triggers.
This policy explains what it stores and why. We keep it minimal, and your logs are treated as
health data.
What we store
Your data is linked to your account and synced across your devices with Cloud Firestore:
- Account identifier — an anonymous, Apple or Google account id from Firebase
Authentication. If you sign in, we store the email and display name that provider gives us.
- Flares — the joint, dates, pain ratings, symptoms, what you took and any notes.
- Food and drink diary — what you logged, portions and times.
- Uric acid results — the values and dates you enter.
- Your gout profile and goals — usual joints, medicines you name (no dosing
advice), and the targets you set with your doctor.
- Feedback messages — only if you send us feedback.
- Basic app info — app version and platform, to support the app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We show no ads and use no advertising or cross-app tracking.
- We never put your health values into analytics or crash reports.
Who processes your data
- Google Firebase stores your data (Firestore), signs you in (Authentication),
and provides anonymous usage counts and crash diagnostics that contain no health values.
- RevenueCat processes subscription purchases and restores if you upgrade to Pro.
The purine reference table in the app is bundled and offline; looking up a food sends nothing to us.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all of its data in the app: signed in, under Profile → your account →
Delete account; as a guest, under Profile → Delete my data. If you signed in with Apple, deleting the account
also revokes the app's Sign in with Apple access. When a guest signs in to an existing account, the guest
account left behind is deleted once its data has moved. You can also email us at codememory101@gmail.com and we
will delete it. See our account deletion page.
Not medical advice
Gout Tracker is a logging tool. This app does not provide medical advice. Talk to your doctor.
